Dreams the main theme in "The Great Gatsby"
In my opinion the theme that best describes "The Great Gatsby" is the theme Dreams, I feel that this more important to the novel than Vision and Honesty. When it comes to dreams in the "The Great Gatsby," The main dream that we see over and over is The Great American Dream, Or rather the corruption of it. …showed last 75 words of 585 total…Gatsby, but more importantly there was Tom's affair, although not seen as such a big event in the novel, Tom always shows himself off as an honest man once claiming that he was the most honest man that he knew. Tom ran away from marriage with a girl in New York, and had an affair with Jordan. Tom is therefore a liar and although comes off as a shy and honest man he is not.
