Many social class and divisions are apparent in many places and institutions in our society. The place where many of these divisions are most obvious to me is in our public school system. When the children enter middle schools social groups begin to form and separate from each other. This would be especially powerful in the middle school age because each person is looking to make an identity for themselves. What we go though as children in middle school and teenagers in high school can teach us a lot about social structures. In many cases the social class system we encounter in school is not much different than the one we see as we enter into adulthood.
